Since 2010 BSE is offering Academy courses to steelmakers worldwide. The portfolio
ranges from open courses to customized sessions developed for specific customer
requests.
From the very beginning two courses focusing on the Environment were provided to
our customers – a dedusting course and an environmental workshop.
The latest course “Environmental Challenges for the Steel Industry” does not only
merge the most interesting modules of both courses into one new seminar, it also
focuses on the latest developments when it comes to compliance with new regulations
(ISO Standards and CO Trading). This seminar gives operators, maintenance
personnel and supervisors a comprehensive overview of the elements of an emission
control system with a more user-related focus. Workshops with Q&A complete the
portfolio. BSE’s internal personnel with extensive knowledge and longtime experience
as well as external partners and experts in their fields outline the course in a
professional and educational matter.
Apart from presenting BSE Academy and our environmental course, the presentation
will give an overview on topics like dust collecting systems, flow theory, maintenance
and monitoring as well as noise, water treatment and slag processing – which will all
be treated much more in detail in our latest Academy course.
