Continuous Galvanizing Line with New Technology at Ton Dong a Corporation

Ton Dong A Corporation (hereinafter referred to as TDA) is Galvanizing, Color coating and 55%AL-Zn steel sheets producer in Vietnam. CN Steel Plant Engineering (hereinafter referred to as CNSE) which is subsidiary of Nippon Steel & Sumikin Engineering (hereinafter referred to as NSENGI) received an order for new No.4 continuous galvanizing line in February 2013. With a great cooperative work for this project among TDA, CNSE and NSENGI, the most-advanced line started up commercial production in September 2014.Due to this successful start up, TDA has increased capacity of galvanized steel sheets production from 170,000 tons per year to 370,000 tons per year and has become to produce further high-quality galvanizing and 55%Al-Zn steel sheets as well. In this project, CNSE mainly supplied Entry, Furnace and Delivery equipment and NSENGI supplied Air knife, Tension leveler and Skinpass mill as key equipment. Especially Air knife, NSENGI’s newly developed Air knife which is called NS blade® was applied. As a result, TDA becomes to be able to produce extremely thin coating AZ30 during high speed operation 150mpm without splash. After its successful completion, TDA was able to achieve their desired production capacity and quality. In addition, the project proved total line engineering and management ability of CNSE and high-level technology of NSENGI.
