A stainless steel bar rarely gets rusty and its surface is clean, so it is mainly used for buildings attachments. It is generally peeled and after that sometimes hairline-polished. In this process luster marks occurred. # We studied relation of straightening conditions and luster marks. As a result, we found that luster marks were caused by surface undulation in straightening process and that adjusting the roll angle of straightener reduces occurrence of luster marks. # Luster marks occur by the difference of luster on surface of a bar
