Copper is well known as austenite stabilizer in austenitic stainless steels that makes their stacking fault energy increased also. These kinds of steel materials are due to their good workability usually used as cold worked steels such as screws, bolts etc. The precipitation of materials in high temperature range is getting serious if copper content higher than 3% that may induce the embrittlement of steel materials in hot working temperature range. This study has been aimed to investigate the effect of copper content on the hot mechanical properties of selected stainless steels with different copper contents. These results can be very interesting for the industrial application.
