Special alloy steel is a key material for industrial products, like a automobile and construction machine, therefore special alloy steel manufacturers continue making an effort to quality improvement for continuous cast bloom & billet. In order to reply to these high quality needs, NIPPON STEEL ＆ SUMIKIN ENGINEERING CO., Ltd. (NSENGI) has so far developed and supplied many innovative technologies towards the quality improvement and stabilization on bloom and billet continuous caster for special bar quality(SBQ). In this paper, in particularly, we introduce internal quality control technologies for SBQ in combination with NSENGI’s NS plasma heater in Tundish, NS M-EMS and NS soft reduction
