Indonesia has coking coal deposit in Borneo. When it was compared with another Australia Semisoft Coking Coal, the quality and price were interesting. The competitive price of Indonesia Coal can substitute the Australia Coal. It’s very good opportunity for PT Krakatau Posco contribution of domestic material usage and supply stability issue due to shorter distance than Australia. Coke is the output of carbonisation process of coking coal by heating up in Coke Oven Battery with anaerob condition. Coke has important role in Blast Furnace as a reduction agent, heat source, and gas & liquid permeability. In PT Krakatau Posco, (Drum Index) is one of the quality standard parameter for coke in BF operation. That paramater is the CTQ (Critical to Quality) target of this project. The paper describes blending technology method of Indonesia Coking Coal usage in Coke Plant. Coal and coke deep analysis of Indonesia Coking Coal has been studied in comprehensively by this experiment. Coke making process and coal blending technology was important knowledge for doing this project. Outstanding operating results prove the success of the Indonesia Coking Coal Trial in Coal Blending.
