Carpet Reinforcement-Full Paper-From NatSteel Singapore

Traditionally, to construct a slab with rebar, reinforcement bars are laid one by one manually by steel fixers before concrete is poured. This process consumes considerable amount of time as it involves carrying the loose pieces of rebar, one by one, to the point of installation, spreading them out at set spacing and finally securing them together with wire tying. Carpet Reinforcement simplifies this process by producing a machine made rebar carpet which can be easily rolled out onsite just like a floor carpet. The key benefits include considerable savings in time and manpower which results in higher construction productivity.
