"In order to comply with international trends and meet customer needs, China Steel Corporation is committed to developing the universal non-chromated passivation product (UG, U: Universal; G: Green coating) instead of chromate coating for hot-dip galvanized products. The UG hot-dip galvanized product as presented herein conforms to the law of the WEEE and RoHS directives. CSC bears the responsibility for reducing environmental impact through the total processes from product’s quality design, chemical composition, and coating properties. After several years of repeated trial and improvement, CSC has finally developed a new environmentally friendly and stable quality universal non-chromated passivation product. The painting adhesive ability of UG product is better than that of chromate products and the welding ability is also better than anti-fingerprint ones. The UG product not only can reduce the costs of outsourcing paint, but also establish the core technology of domestic non-chromated coating. In addition, it is also advantageous to import a variety of niche product development and meet future customer needs."
