Although iron and steel industry is playing an important role in human development. In this process it had faced many challenges itself. Iron and Steel companies always effort to resolve the issues such as: Selecting the mode of production, energy saving, environmental protection, product cost and competition market. Blast furnace plays a main role in iron and steel industry. The majority of steel manufactured from hot metal of blast furnace (BF). So, how to reduce the emissions from the blast furnace to the environment also to reduce the cost of production? This paper will present the achievements of Hoa Phat Steel JSC in the development process.
