Simulation For Rolling by Means of our FE Analysis System

We work on the development of mainly the high-value-added new rolling product s which has the strange shape on the section. We call these products “special section steel”. Special section steel has the asymmetric shape section as shown in Fig.1, where as the symmetric section steel like wide flange beams, angle-beams and channel-beams are called “general section steel”. The development of new special section steel especially designing the roll cal ibers for that is so difficult it takes a great deal of time us to do them. However nowadays, the development period before the delivery tend to be shorter. Accordingly, shortening the development period and decreas ing the initial cost are indispensable. This report introduce s three dimensions FEM analysis machine which we developed for the solution of these demand and utilize now. Additionally, nowadays, we utilize this system for not only the investigation of the new products but also the improvements of the productivity for the existing products. This report also indicates one of the practical examples by this original system .
