During May 2011, Danieli successfully commissioned his new flat product complex for the production of hot rolled and processed coils, located in Iskenderun, on the Mediterranean coast of Turkey. This plant, ideally located at the crossroads of the most important treading lines across the Mediterranean see, is conceived to serve the growing needs of flat steel semiproducts in the vast area of the middle east, the Mediterranean basin and also eastern European markets. With its technologies and extremely compact and rational lay out , it represents one of the most advanced plants in the world adopting thin slab casting and rolling technology, featuring, among other records, the larger single AC furnace meltshop in the world.
