Thanks to the Intelligrind® system it is now possible complete the CASTGRIND® process (grinding in line with caster up to 1.500 F saving energy, space cost & time) utlising the latest developments in Danieli slab inspection technology to automatically detect surface defects both in hot and cold condition, guaranteeing 100% quality control. Additionally, the extra high power (630 KW) Super Grinder productivity can now be compared with that obtained by an automatic scarfing machine. The Danieli grinding technology can now replace the scarfing technology thanks to the lower overall investment and running costs. Additionally, this Environmentaly friendly technology can also be used to replace the manual scarfing operational thus assuring a safer working environment. The benefits of the Intelligrind® system and all further advantages of Danieli grinding technology compared with the scarfing process will be presented based on the latest reference plants sold worldwide in recent years.
