NIPPON STEEL & SUMIKIN ENGINEERING (NSENGI) supplied advanced technologies of process control system for Electrolytic Tinning Line (ETL) to several tinplate producer ; WISCO-NIPPON STEEL Tinplate Co., Ltd (China, 2013), SIAM TINPLATE Co., Ltd (Thailand, 2013), PT LATINUSA (Indonesia, 2011) through new construction or revamping project. These technologies of process control system were developed by NSENGI and are able to contribute for the tinplate producer to improve the production quality and the savings on tin. In this article, we introduce the effects of the 3(three) advanced technologies of process control system with results of our latest projects. Advanced Technologies; (1) Plating Current Control - Improve the accuracy of tin coating weight on varying line operation. (2) Reflow Control - Improve the accuracy of tin-alloy weight under reflow condition change (3) Tin Replenishing Control - Optimize the oxygen flow rate for reduction of tin loss.
